YOUTH ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
Youth Athlete Development is a strength training program suitable for kids & adolescents between 10 - 17 years old.
This program is designed and supervised by Culture Strength & Conditioning’s Head Coach (Cole Unasa) who has completed a Masters Degree in Strength & Conditioning and has over 10 years of experience.
Old myths and misinformation in regards to the negative effects of resistance training for children have been debunked. There is a compelling body of scientific evidence recognising strength training as being both safe and effective for children and adolescents when appropriately designed and supervised by qualified professionals.
Research has shown the many benefits of strength training in youth athletes, with significant improvements in:
Muscular strength
Muscular endurance
Power production
Change-of-direction speed and agility
Balance and stability
Coordination and speed of movement
Positive effects on health
Improved psychological well-being
Reduction in both severity and incidence of injuries
SESSION TIMES:
MONDAY 4-5PM
TUESDAY 4-5PM
WEDNESDAY 4-5PM
THURSDAY 4-5PM
Athletes are encouraged to attend 1 - 2 sessions per week.
